Writing for Wellness

There is considerable research that has emerged about the therapeutic benefits of writing. Writing what is most true for you can leave you feeling less stressed and can strengthen your immune system. Each week, we begin with a short meditation, a free write, and then some structured and unstructured writing prompts that are always optional. Emphasis is on support, writing what you need to write, and finding your own unencumbered voice. Group members often share what they have written with one another. Silence is also a full form of participation.

The fee for this class is $15; a package of six classes is $75. If the suggested fee is not affordable, please speak with the instructor as we are committed to offering services to all, regardless of ability to pay.
