Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Allison is an oncology nurse practitioner who specializes in the care of women with gynecologic cancers throughout the trajectory of their disease. In 2008, she was named the “Nurse Practitioner of the Year” in Massachusetts by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is deeply committed to palliative care and was a founding member of an initiative to educate and support hospice nurses in Romania. Allison is a lecturer in women’s health at Simmons College. She received dual masters in Nursing and Public Health from Simmons College and Harvard University respectively. She is a women’s health advocate; she chaired the Board of Directors of Peace at Home, a non-profit organization committed to educating communities about family violence from a human rights perspective.
